Ducati has released an image of its new 1199 Panigale without its fairings, illustrating how multiple elements of the bike have been fused together to make it incredibly lightweight and compact. Mitsubishi will continue using the “Ralliart” brand name despite the demise of the Japanese racing parts company this week. Ralliart Inc., a wholly owned Japanese subsidiary of Mitsubishi Motors Corp., informed global distributors on Wednesday that it would cease business operations March 31. In the United States and Europe, Mitsubishi markets a Ralliart sports version of its Lancer, which has become a sporty halo car for the brand.

N.C. Senate gives green light to making stock-car racing the official state sport

North Carolina might join the ranks of states that have officially adopted a state sport. The state Senate on Thursday endorsed stock-car racing by a margin of 46-3. The legislation now goes to the state House.
